Trainings for academic & administrative staff and students held in University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka”

Within the framework of the TEMPUS project: “Strategic Support on establishment and development of sustainable structures on quality assurance, international relations and students support services at the newly founded public University of Haxhi Zeka”, trainings for academic & administrative staff and students were held at the University “Haxhi Zeka” in Peja, during March 20 – 23, 2017.
The aim of the training was focused on the future of eLearning and the introduction of MOODLE.
The training was opened by Ibish Mazreku, vice rector for international cooperation and quality assurance from University of Peja, who delivered the welcoming speech.

During the three days of the training, for the academic and administrative staff, the following presentations were delivered by Prof. Dr. Denise Galvin:

  • Theory by way of Presentations:  Introduction to and the future of eLearning University of Alicante
  • What is blended learning? – University of Alicante
  • Overview of UA Campus Virtual, Administrative applications and students access
  • Research and development activities
  • Technology park and innovation centre


During the three day training beside the presentations, the academic and administrative staff had practical tasks on how to use MOODLE.

Furthermore a round table was held which aim was to identify UHZ critical needs and to identify ways forward to fulfill these IT needs.

Moreover on the last day of the training whose target were students, Prof. Dr. Massimo Bianchi delivered the following presentations:

  • Introduction to the training objectives
  • Creating a virtual business
  • Presentation skills


Additionally, the Project aims to support the University on achieving the objectives of the Bologna Process, Strategy of Higher Education in Kosova, Kosova Education Strategic Plan 2011-2016, Europe 2020 Strategy, the Strategic framework for European Cooperation in education and training (ET 2020), in the related area in order to facilitate the integration of Kosovo into the European Higher Education area.
